Community and family events connect community members of all types and ages with creative programming. Volunteers help to set up, facilitate activities, and clean up. These events create amazing connections within our community.
TUESDAYS • 3 - 5 PM
All ages · Embark on a journey of creative self-expression! Whether on your own or with guidance, ease into simple exercises that explore basic artistic concepts. You could also respond to an optional mindfulness prompt. Our program provides a relaxed and inspiring environment for self-discovery, with all materials provided. (Or bring your own!) Try it at your own pace in a low-pressure setting..

Teens · Teen Write Club is a place for teen writers to let their voices be heard, get feedback on their work, and explore all things prose and poetry. Tired of analyzing similes and metaphors? Come up with some of your own! Get ready to hone your writing skills, discuss the ins and outs of craft, and, of course, WRITE.

WEDNESDAYS • 5:30 - 7 PM
All Ages · Come join our creative community for an open drawing / collaging / zine program. Different artistic mediums will be at your fingertips as you cultivate imaginative thinking. Learn how to make your very own 8-page mini-zine using a single piece of paper. Follow the prompt or come up with your own ideas. All skill levels are welcome, whether you’ve never drawn a doodle in your life or you’re a total pro. Supplies are provided - all you need to bring is your imagination.

THURSDAYS • 4 - 6 PM
Grades 3-8 · Drop in to explore architecture, engineering, and art through Minecraft! Each session, participants will be given a building prompt related to one or more of these fields. Then, they'll work together to plan their build and join a Minecraft world to create it. Staff and volunteers will monitor games to ensure the safety of youth as they play. Spots are limited and cannot be reserved.

Adults · Aspiring writers unite! You're invited to be a part of our supportive writers' community. Bring works in progress to share, get inspired with creative prompts and spend some focused time writing. Hosted by local writers Jenny Davis, Hannah Engel, and Ben Van Voorhis.

Teens & Adults · Storytellers are invited to unleash their creativity to create a short comic! Each session is kicked off with a randomly selected prompt to spark your imagination. Whether you're an experienced artist or trying comics for the first time, come experiment, connect, and bring your ideas to life—one panel at a time!
